A lawyer was not allowed to see engineer Gennady Kravtsov, convicted of treason.

Lawyer Yevgeny Smirnov was not allowed to see engineer Nikolai Kravtsov convicted of treason, who is in correctional colony No. 5 in Mordovia. this Smirnov announced on his Facebook page.

“In this colony, the head of Trofimov ordered not to let lawyers through without his personal signature, and he himself does not appear at work,” the lawyer wrote.

Medizona, citing the head of Team 29, Ivan Pavlov, reports that Kravtsov needs to meet with Smirnov, since he will soon be able to apply for parole.

According to Smirnov, earlier the head of the colony, Trofimov, signed a conclusion in which he opposed Kravtsov's parole due to the fact that he "did not perform a set of physical exercises." After that, according to the lawyer, Trofimov demanded from his client a written refusal to participate in the court session.

He was accused of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code): according to the investigation, the engineer divulged information about the personnel of the GRU. Kravtsov was sentenced to 14 years in prison, then reduced to six years.
