The head of Ingushetia signed a law on the border with Chechnya
The head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed the law on the establishment of an administrative border with the Chechen Republic, which previously approved the region’s parliament on October 4.
On October 4, the Constitutional Court of Ingushetia demanded that the agreement on the establishment of the border with Chechnya be considered at the general public referendum. Deputies of the regional parliament, the court said, they have no right to resolve this issue.
Several thousand people went to a rally in Magas, protesting against the signing of the agreement. They also require a referendum and the resignation of the head of the republic.
