The 4th of October. Seven superagents of the GRU and the story of one traitor

Spy Story No. 1. Holland and Great Britain exposed an intelligence operation carried out by Russian spies in The Hague. They acted in two directions at once - they tried to hack into the computer network of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (this is because of the Skripal investigation), and also to find out information about the investigation into the crash of the Boeing in Ukraine. It was back in April, but the authorities could not do anything with the suspects because they had diplomatic passports - they simply had to be expelled from the country .

Spy Story No. 2. The US Department of Justice exposed the GRU spy network, which was engaged in hacking: agents hacked, among other things, the networks of international sports organizations . The resulting documents were then made publicly available in order to sway public opinion towards Russia during the doping scandal. The most interesting thing in this story is the identity of the disclosed agents : four of them are the very ones that appear in the investigation of the Netherlands, three more appeared in the investigation of interference in the US elections. You can immediately see - superagents: they manage to do twenty things at the same time!

Spy Story No. 3. In 2010, when relations between Russia and the West were, to put it mildly, much better than the current ones, they were somewhat overshadowed by the first spy scandal in many years: Anna Chapman and nine other Russian agents were arrested in the States. They were handed over by Colonel of the Foreign Intelligence Service Alexander Poteev, who had fled to the United States shortly before. Later in Russia he was given 25 years in absentia. In 2016, "informed sources" of the Russian media reported on the death of Poteev. And now the dead agent has risen! Well, as he rose again: in fact, he did not die at all. The Buzzfeed edition found out that he continues to live in the USA, even under his real name .
