Parliamentarians ignored the opinion and proposals of the president, re -voting "for". In July, the parliament adopted a bill allowing the full demolition of the former stadium and the sale of this land plot with an area of ​​5.1 hectares for the construction of a new building of the American diplomatic museum, and the government was obliged to ensure the determination of the cost of this land and sign a contract of sale. However, Dodon abandoned the promulgation of the decision of the parliament. In his opinion, on the site of the former stadium, it is necessary to break the park or build a cultural center that all residents of Moldova will use.
