Members of public organizations “New Greatness” and “Network” are accused of creating an extremist and terrorist community and the preparation of the seizure of power in Russia. Both criminal cases were instituted in 2017. In the case of “New Greatness”, ten people are taking place, in the case of the “network” - eleven.
According to the defendants in both cases, during the arrests and subsequent maintenance in jail, the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs applied torture to them. It was under torture that most of the accused in the case of the “network” gave initial confession (which later they refused).
Relatives, human rights activists and journalists who follow the progress of the investigation are sure that both criminal cases are fabricated by law enforcement officials.
“New Greatness” and “Network” have nothing to do with each other, except for one - they included active young people with opposition political views.
"New Greatness" was created in Moscow in December 2017. The organization included several dozen people, most of whom were not familiar with each other and they talked mainly in telegram chats. One of the key witnesses in the criminal case is a certain Ruslan D., whom lawyers consider to be a provocateur and law enforcement officer. He insisted on creating a full -fledged organization with the charter, political program, and premises for meetings. He himself rented a small room, wrote a political program himself, in which the investigation then found all the signs of the “ideology of violence” and recognized as extremist. Later, the Criminal investigator Maxim Rastorguev and an employee of the Russian Guard Ruslan Kashapov also was also introduced into the organization. Under the influence of employees, young people printed and placed several circulations of leaflets about the “Putin regime”, and also participated in several socio-political rallies.
On March 15, 2018, 10 members of the group, including 17-year-old Anna Pavlikova and 19-year-old Maria Dubovik, were arrested on charges of creating an extremist community and placed in jail. As a result of a wide public campaign, a preventive measure for girls was changed to house arrest. Four were originally under house arrest, four more in jail. Not a single implemented employee has been involved in business.
On September 11, 20-year-old Vyacheslav Kryukov, which is contained in pre-trial detention center No. 3 of Moscow, announced a hunger strike. He asks him to change the measure of restraint for house arrest. According to his lawyer, Kryukov has already lost 13 kilograms and his health is in serious danger. On October 11, the Dorogomilovsky court of Moscow must consider an arrest appeal. On October 4, the Moscow City Court recognized the arrest of Anna Pavlikova on March 16, when she was first sent to a pre -trial detention center.
The “network”, according to the FSB, was not an extremist organization, but immediately terrorist. Her cells existed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza and Belarus. The “Network” arose in 2016. Members of this organization allegedly prepared terrorist attacks during the parliamentary elections, as well as during the World Cup. Until now, in the criminal case, in addition to the confession of the participants themselves received under torture, there are no other significant evidence. However, two defendants concluded a deal with the investigation and all recognized. Nine accused abandoned their initial testimonies and filed applications for the application of torture to them. Members of the PMCs attending the St. Petersburg pre-trial detention center testify to the detainees torture were applied, the accused themselves also tell in detail. However, so far in the initiation of cases of torture is denied the wording of "facts of torture are not confirmed."
Experts who examined the tracks on the body from a stamper showed that "their bugs were bitten."
After the arrests in the case of the “network” and the rigid pressure of the FSB officers at the accused and their relatives, the parents of Lev Ponomarev’s human rights activist, who were arrested with the support of the Parental Network, united with the support of human rights activist. Subsequently, the parents of the defendants in the case of "New Greatness" joined them. Their goal: to attract public attention to these matters and in all possible ways to achieve an objective investigation.
“We are sure that these matters, completely different at first glance, are not just an attempt to deal with our children. This is a meaningless and cruel war of the state machine against a new generation, which today declares its right to influence the situation in the country, ”the joint statement said. (The application is completely.) A joint action is called "in defense of the new generation." It is planned that it will be held in the format of the procession in the center of Moscow.
