According to the woman, she learned about this on September 28 from a lawyer who had visited Safargali the day before. At the end of September, the activist had an appointment with the dentist and on the way met a prison officer. In a conversation with the lawyer, Safargali emphasized that he greeted him and headed to the doctor’s office.
“Near the doctor’s office, standing facing the office, the same employee approached Danis from behind and said: “Why don’t you say hello?” The husband turned and replied: “You came up from behind - I didn’t see you. Before I came in, I saw you and said hello 15 minutes ago,” Guzel Safargali told the publication.
In early September, the activist was placed in a punishment cell for refusing to interrupt prayer to stand in front of the prosecutor. Previously, Guzel Safargali said that in the colony her husband was under pressure and was also prohibited from corresponding and communicating in the Tatar language.
