At a rally against the revision of the border with Chechnya, which is taking place near the parliament of Ingushetia in Magas, the security forces opened fire in the air. This was announced on Twitter by the correspondent of the Russian service of the BBC, Lisa Focht.

Journalist Ilya Barabanov tweeted that deputies came out to the protesters.

• Protests in Magas and Sunzha began on September 25 after it became known about the resignation of Issa Khashagulgov from the post of head of the Sunzhensky district. Activists regarded Khashagulgov's departure as a protest against the transfer of part of the lands of Ingushetia to Chechnya.
• On September 26, it became known that the heads of Chechnya and Ingushetia signed an agreement on the mutual transfer of land between the republics.
