The ECHR Communced the Russian authorities Oleg Sentsov

The European Court of Human Rights Comminized, that is, transferred the Russian authorities to give explanations, the case of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who holds a hunger strike in the Russian colony.

A copy of the letter of the ECHR, sent at the end of September, was published by lawyer Pavel Chikov.

At the same time, as follows from the letter of the court, he linked the consideration of the Sentsov case with the case "Ukraine against Russia" regarding the annexation of Crimea.

Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in Russia on charges of preparing terrorist attacks in Crimea. He does not admit his guilt. On May 14, he announced a hunger strike with the demand to release from Russian prisons all Ukrainian political prisoners, which he still has not stopped. He agreed to supporting therapy. The Russian authorities call his state of health satisfactory, according to lawyers, it gradually worsens.

According to human rights activists, in Russia, for political reasons, 64 Ukrainian is serving.

In recent months, more than 100 figures of world culture, human rights activists and leaders of the Western countries spoke with the demand to immediately free Sentsov in recent months.
