Peskov: The border between Ingushetia and Chechnya is the issue of these regions themselves

Press Secretary of Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov refused to state the Kremlin’s position on the border between Ingushetia and Chechnya, TASS reports . "These are the issues that the regions deal with in this case, and since we are talking about the position that representatives in Ingushetia occupied, accordingly, the authorities of Ingushetia are engaged in," the agency reports the official of the official.

In Magas, the fifth day continues a round -the -clock rally of protest against the exchange of lands with Chechnya. On Saturday, the action was agreed on the whole week - to October 14, inclusive. Officials, however, recalled that in accordance with the Law on rallies, public events may begin no earlier than 7 in the morning and end no later than 10 pm. In addition, the site on which the rally took place, and the other - at the Ingushetia shopping center was agreed. On Sunday, the Caucasian Knot reported , activists moved the tent town to a new place.

On the evening of October 7, the first president of Ingushetia, Ruslan Aushev, who headed the region, who arrived from Moscow, spoke in front of the activists in 1993-2002. Aushev enjoys great authority among compatriots.

The first president said that the current administration of the region made a serious mistake without agreeing to change the border with citizens. He suggested that the protesters form a committee from representatives of different teipes, which would interact with the power of Ingushetia and inform citizens about the actions of officials.

On Thursday, the current head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov announced that the People’s Assembly of the region ratified an agreement on the border with Chechnya. At the same time, the deputies themselves stated that the majority opposed the ratification, and the voting results were falsified. A day earlier, the Constitutional Court of Ingushetia gave a negative review of the bill on ratification of the agreement, indicating that the issue of the border should be submitted to the regional referendum.

Despite this, on Friday, Yevkurov signed a border law.

The number of demonstrators in Magas reached, according to some reports, 10 thousand people. Hundreds remained to spend the night on the street. With their requirements on Thursday, protesters stated the issue of the border to the referendum and the immediate resignation of Yevkurov.
