In Kostroma, the former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters was arrested for 15 days

The Sverdlovsk District Court of Kostroma arrested the former coordinator of the regional headquarters of Navalny Alexander Zykov for 15 days. Such a sentence was given to him because of the organization and holding of a campaign against raising the retirement age, which took place on September 9, writes "7 × 7".

The court found Zykov guilty of repeated violation of the procedure for organizing a rally (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to the prosecution, Zykov organized and held "an uncoordinated public event that included one group picket, two rallies and two processions."

Zykov's lawyer Arkady Romanov said that the rally on Susaninskaya Square arose spontaneously, his client did not organize it, but only led it.

• Zykov was detained on October 4. In the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a protocol was drawn up against him on charges of repeated violation of the rules for holding an event (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for organizing a rally against pension reform. Zykov was left overnight in the department until the trial, which was supposed to take place on October 5. As a result, the trial was postponed to October 6.
• According to OVD-Info, in Kostroma, one person was detained during the protests on September 9. More than 1,195 people were detained throughout Russia.
• In August 2017, Alexander Zykov, along with other supporters of Alexei Navalny, installed a campaign cube in the local Hyde Park. The police arrived there, and Alexander Zykov argued with Major Volkov, who was in civilian clothes, about the legality of the action. Volkov grabbed Zykov by the neck and hit his head in the face, breaking his eyebrow to the point of blood. In September, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on abuse of office with the use of violence (clause “a” part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code)
• In March 2018, the court sentenced Volkov to three years of probation under the article on abuse of power. At the end of June, the Interior Ministry officially apologized to Zykov for Volkov's actions. In August, a Kostroma court awarded Zykov 35,000 rubles in compensation for moral damage.
