In the Moscow region, security forces detained about a hundred Muslims for several hours at the exit from a mosque.

On October 12, in the city of Mytishchi near Moscow, people in military uniforms and masks detained Muslims who left the mosque in the private sector for several hours, and then they were released without drawing up protocols. This is reported by Mediazona with reference to an eyewitness of the incident Magomed Khabibibirov and journalists of the Russian FM Project Yuri Senchev and Evgeny Proshin.

Khabibibirov told Mediazona that at about one in the afternoon, about a hundred Muslims left the mosque and saw two buses and 30-40 people in military uniforms and masks in front of them. The eyewitness also reported that "someone in civilian uniform said, 'Someone called us and complained that there was a mass gathering of people. And we responded to the call.'" At first, according to Khabibibirov, no one answered the questions.

An eyewitness said that two or three hours later, the security forces told the Muslims to get on the buses to take them to the police. He stressed that no one resisted.

“And they didn’t draw up any protocol, nothing. Stupidly, we sat for five hours, and at the end they let us go, ”Khabibibirov added.

He also clarified to Mediazona that Muslims gather in this mosque every Friday, and none of the neighbors wrote a complaint, since everyone knows about it.
