The Investigative Committee opened a case against an employee of a Mordovian colony who helped a prisoner buy drugs

In Mordovia, a case has been opened against a junior inspector of the security department of IK-12, who helped a prisoner buy drugs, according to the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The FSIN employee is accused of complicity in attempted illegal acquisition of drugs (Part 5 of Article 33, Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code), as well as of receiving a bribe (Part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, in June 2018, 15 thousand rubles were transferred to the defendant’s bank card. For this money, the colony employee was supposed to give one of the prisoners 90 grams of hashish, which he received from an unidentified person in the village of Zubova Polyan. The accused did not have time to hand over the drugs to the prisoner - before going on duty, they were taken away by operatives from IK-12.

The accused was later fired from the Federal Penitentiary Service. The criminal investigation has been completed and the materials have been submitted to the court.
