Maria Motuznaya from Barnaul, who was accused of extremism and insulting the feelings of believers because of the pictures on VKontakte, left Russia. This information was confirmed to Meduza by her lawyer Alexei Bushmakov.

Motuznaya tweeted a photo from Kiev with the caption “Thank you all, Russia, goodbye)”.

• On October 9, the court returned the case of Maria Motuznaya to the prosecutor's office. This was preceded by the submission to the State Duma of a presidential bill to decriminalize the first publication of "extremist pictures." Her defense said they were waiting for the criminal case to be dropped.
