A participant of the “Perpetual Protest” detained at a special detention center was arrested for 12 days

The Presnensky District Court arrested Veronika Novozhenova, a participant in the “Unlimited Protest,” for 12 days, who was detained the day before immediately after leaving the special detention center. Their friend Sofya Kardash reported this to OVD-Info.

Novozhenova and activist Anastasia Klimenko were detained on October 6 at the police department in the Tverskoy district. Both were arrested for 10 days. On the evening of October 16, when the participants of the “Unlimited Protest” left the special detention center, Novozhenova was detained again. Together with her, the police took Kristina Timakova to the department, who came along with other members of Bessrochka to meet the girls.

Novozhenova and Timakova were kept in a paddy wagon for about three hours. Then, at the police department in the Presnensky district, protocols were drawn up against them under Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event, resulting in interference with transport and infrastructure). Both were left overnight.

In the morning, the activists were taken to the Presnensky court. Timakova was probably detained by police by mistake. On the way, the activist began to be questioned about whether she had been detained on October 6. When it turned out that it was not, Timakova was released straight from the car in which she was taken to the courthouse. They took a receipt from the girl stating that she must appear at the Presnensky police station upon request. Novozhenova was taken to court, after which a hearing took place, following which the judge made a decision to arrest her.
