The prosecutor's office considered this punishment excessively lenient and appealed against it. A new protocol was drawn up against the activist under the article on repeated violation of the rules of the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), since a protocol was already drawn up against her for the “Voters' Strike” action on January 28.
Komaleva appealed the decision of the district court to the Supreme Court of the Republic, which sent the case back for a new trial. But in the end, she was still imputed to part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and fined 75,000 rubles. The judge gave the woman a sentence below the lowest limit, as the activist has a young child, and she suffers from diabetes.
