The prosecutor asked for a year in a general regime colony for Konstantin Saltykov

In the Tverskoy District Court, at a hearing on the case of the use of violence against a policeman (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code) during the Voters' Strike action, the prosecutor requested one year in a penal colony for a volunteer of Alexei Navalny's headquarters, Konstantin Saltykov. This was reported in the telegram channel "Pravozashchita Postcards".

20-year-old supporter of Alexei Navalny Konstantin Saltykov was detained on January 28. According to investigators, during the rally he grabbed police officer Golovkov by the uniform, hit him on the thigh and tore off his pocket. Saltykov then allegedly punched police officer Makhonin in the face and at least twice in the back.

By these actions, according to the investigation, the young man “deliberately created an obstacle to escort Navalny to the official bus,” and also caused moral harm to the police, physical pain and bruises (bruises).

The criminal case against the activist was opened on 7 February. The human rights organization of Open Russia writes that the case file contains a report by police officer Kuznetsov, who said that Navalny kicked him during the arrest. Kuznetsov claimed that this "caused severe physical pain", and in response he used force on Navalny.
