The City Hall of Komsomolsk-on-Amur refused to coordinate the Immortal Gulag campaign near the memorable sign to the victims of political repression. This was announced by the ATS-INFO by the activist of Open Russia and the organizer of the action Sergey Sokoluk.
The response from the city administration indicated that the territory, near which the action was planned, adjacent to the building of the district court, where, in accordance with federal law, mass events are prohibited. The rally was supposed to take place on October 30 near the memorial sign to the victims of political repressions established by the local branch of the Memorial in 1990.
In the group "Immortal Gulag | Komsomolsk-on-Amur "on VKontakte noted that the action will be held in a series of single pickets. Sergei Sokolyuk said that activists will distribute leaflets from information that the city was built by the rugs of the prisoners of the Gulag.
