The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case due to a fire at the Electrozinc plant in Vladikavkaz, which killed fireman Alexander Ermakov during the extinguishing of which.
The case is being investigated under the article “violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of a person through negligence” (Part 2 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“The results of the inspection of the scene of the incident, the recordings of CCTV cameras installed in the workshop and the explanations of the eyewitnesses of the incident give reason to believe that there have been violations of the industrial safety of the hazardous production facility,” the UK said.
