“Yegor wrote to me yesterday, saying that he applied for political asylum in the United States, hired a lawyer and he needs my petition. It usually takes at least six months to process an application. Gather evidence and verify. But I think it will be easier with Yegor, because he is the hero of the four-episode film Loshak, ”said Bontsler.

The lawyer added that Chernyuk now lives in the United States, has been studying there for four months and “he is doing well.”

“That's why he wants to get political asylum there, and then citizenship. He can’t return, because they are waiting for him here, ”Bonzler explained.
