The most drinking cities in Russia have been named

Marketing agency Zoom Market has compiled a rating of the most drinking cities in Russia. The survey involved residents of 25 cities, who were asked whether they drink alcohol, how often, and whether they plan to do so today.

The first three places were taken by Saratov, Khanty-Mansiysk and Perm. Next come Saransk, Krasnoyarsk, Chita, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Khabarovsk, Novokuznetsk, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Krasnodar, Moscow, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Samara, Omsk, Vladivostok, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.

In 2017, Rosstat named the regions with the highest mortality rate from alcohol poisoning. The main cause of death was the use of counterfeit goods. The list was topped by the Kirov and Yaroslavl regions, Mari El, Arkhangelsk and Kostroma regions. There was not a single case of fatal alcohol poisoning in the Magadan, Sakhalin regions and Kalmykia. And in Dagestan, Ingushetia and the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug, mortality rates are at record lows for Russia.

A VTsIOM survey showed that 59% of the country's residents drink from time to time. In the vast majority of cases - no more than several times a month.

UPD . The chief freelance narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Saratov Region, Alexander Parashchenko, called the rating of the most drinking cities absurd, RBC reports . According to him, the situation in Saratov is normal compared to other cities in the Volga region.
