At the former special object of the NKVD "Kommunarka" , where more than six thousand repressed are buried, on October 27 the memorial "Wall of Memory" was opened.
On the monument, the names of 6609 repressed, which were buried on the territory of the training ground from September 2, 1937 to November 24, 1941, were written.

“Now the children and grandchildren of thousands of executed can come to the place of burials and put flowers or put candles at the memorial with the names of their loved ones, whose fate was unknown for many decades,” the International Memorial said .
The monument, according to the statement of the Memorial, was built jointly with the arrival of the Church of the Holy New Martyrs and Russian Confessors in the Kommunark with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill.
