In Rostov-on-Don, an activist of Open Russia was released from the police

In Rostov-on-Don, civil activists and members of democratic parties and movements held a rally under the slogans "For rights and freedom-against repression! For our and your children!" And in defense of Vladislav Mordasov and Yana Sidorov, almost a year of detention. The speakers stated that criminal cases against Mordasov and Sidorov were fabricated by police officers on the initiative of the FSB.

The rally participants demanded to stop the criminal prosecution of activists in the affairs of the "Network" and "New Greatness". The protesters expressed solidarity with everyone who underwent repression in connection with civil shares on November 5, 2017.

On November 5, 13 people were detained near the building of the Government of the Rostov Region, some of whom were not 18 years old. On that day, they went to the Square of Soviets with Megafon in their hands in order to express their claims and demand from officials to comply with the Russian Constitution. All 13 were detained and taken to the police, then to the court and the pre -trial detention center for the fact that this public action was not agreed with the city mayor.

After the departure of administrative arrest of Vladislav Mordasov and Yana Sidorov was detained at the exit from the investigative insulator already on charges of serious criminal offenses: from trying to organize riots to the attempt to capture the building of the Rostov Region. The case of Mordasov and Sidorov was not transferred to court. "Memorial" recognized them with political prisoners.
On the eve of the day of memory of the victims of political repression, celebrated on October 30, the rally participants laid flowers to the memorial to the victims of political repression "innocently killed."

After the rally, the police detained one of the speakers - Maxim Rudenko. The basis for his detention was, according to law enforcement officers, participation in the public movement "Open Russia", which the Russian authorities ranked "undesirable" in Russia. After compiling the Protocol, Rudenko was released.
