Thousands of Severodvysev protested against garbage training grounds

In Severodvinsk, on Sunday, about 3 thousand people went to the protest against two large garbage burial projects in the Arkhangelsk region. This is reported by Interfax.

Local residents urge the authorities to abandon the construction of the ShIES eco -tech park in the Lensky district, as well as a landfill for storage of solid waste in the village of Rikasikha. Both objects are planned to be placed next to the places of rest of the townspeople. At the same time, the protesters agree to discuss the possibility of building garbage processing plants.

Last Sunday, several hundred people came out for protests against the so -called Ecotechno Park "Shies". The Arkhangelsk authorities approved the relevant investment project on October 18. It is assumed that the Schies will be transferred from Moscow. The authorities assure that garbage will be packaged according to European standards.

On October 14, the Severodvins voted against the garbage training ground in Rikasikha: 39 people spoke out for the construction of the facility, against 1138. These were public hearings, the decision of which was not compulsory.

The decision on the export of garbage from the capital to other regions arose after "garbage" protests in the suburbs. The first rallies in the Arkhangelsk region against the import of Moscow garbage were in the summer.
