
The Minister of Education of Russia Olga Vasilieva offered the United Russia faction to work together on the issues of protecting minors from extremism on the Internet, including the bill on the creation of Cyberdrin. This was announced by the first deputy head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma Andrei Isaev.
The document will be considered at the coordination council of the faction on Friday and in the case of support is entered into the State Duma.
The bill on the creation of Cyberdrin , which will, together with law enforcement agencies, deal with the placement of prohibited information on the Internet, was prepared by deputies from United Russia. According to the document, the "cyberclain" will have to identify information aimed at promoting war, inciting national, racial or religious hatred and enmity, as well as for the spread of which criminal or administrative liability is provided.
The explanatory note indicated that the "cybercur" will be created as public organizations that will notify Roskomnadzor of their work. Russians from 18 years old will be able to join them. According to deputies, the prosecutor’s office, investigators and officials should cooperate with the “cybercemera”.
One of the authors of the bill Oleg Bykov claims that the document is not aimed at restricting freedom of speech on the Internet.
