"Lemon" for the truth. Olga Litvinenko - about "billionaire from the mountain"

I think that Transparency International employees did the right thing, turning to the liberal community with a request to help collect the notorious “lemon for truth”, that is, a million rubles to pay the wealthy rector of the educational institution in Russia. Almost a billion US dollars are such, according to Forbes magazine, Vladimir Litvinenko’s assets. Let me explain why, in my opinion, Transparency International act correctly by organizing a fundraiser, but before I recall what exactly is being discussed.

The human rights organization lost to Litvinenko a lawsuit to protect honor and dignity after the publication of the investigation "billionaire from the mountain." It stated that the rector of the Mining University owns part of the space in an elite residential complex in St. Petersburg, built on the site allocated by the educational institution for the construction of the scientific and laboratory complex and the faculty of continuing education. The court did not dispute the facts from the investigation, but demanded that Transparency International deny the publication and pay compensation for mentioning the “billionaire from the mountain” in the vote for the “main corruption case” of 2016.

What human rights activists do by conducting independent investigations and exposing the unscrupulous facts of corruption among persons from the immediate environment of the President of Russia, serves universal benefits, the fight against the corruption regime, and the restoration of justice in our country. Transparency International employees perform work in the interests of all those who fight the usurpers of power - ultimately in the interests of all Russian citizens. Therefore, human rights activists have reason to count on the help of society.

It is Transparency International that is a vivid example of the fact that Russia still retains opportunities for independent investigative activities and free journalism. And I am sure that among opposition movements actively advocating the return of Russia to the number of democratic countries, there are people who are able to provide financial support to those who really and fearlessly do such an important matter.

In the Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg, the hearings were held under the chairmanship of the judge of Galina Svetova. In my opinion, they were recorded completely unlawful, obviously false and not even existing things. The fact is that a considerable part of the property assigned at the expense of budget resources, my father, the rector of the Mining University Vladimir Litvinenko, issued Tatyana Litvinenko to my mother, in this way to hide her interest in taking state assets for personal purposes. Judge Bystrova refused to consider the fact that Tatyana Litvinenko is the legal wife of Vladimir Litvinenko, and on this basis did not take into account the circumstance, thanks to which he became the actual beneficiary in essence of state assets. But he became mediated: through her wife-housewife, who never worked anywhere in principle, but suddenly received assets for hundreds of millions of rubles. I submitted to the appeal (the city court of St. Petersburg) the certificate of Litvinenko about the marriage that was attached to the case.

I believe that on October 18, the Rector of Litvinenko lost the hearing in the appeal instance in almost all parameters. His requirements to recover 65 million rubles from the defendants, which was determined by the decision by Judge Bystrov, were rejected. Journalists, at whom Bystrova also imposed fines, were generally exempted from any payments to the rector. Information from Internet publications is now not required to delete, Russian citizens can get acquainted with this case without restrictions. After all, people should know their “heroes”, robbing them due to their proximity to power, literally in front of all state lands both on the Vasilyevsky Island and on Millionnaya Street and in the elite village of Solnechnaya.
