In St. Petersburg, Viktor Filinkov, a defendant in the “Network” case, is not given medicines

In St. Petersburg, in pre-trial detention center No. 3, Viktor Filinkov, a defendant in the case of the terrorist community “Network,” is not given medication. This was reported in the telegram channel “ONK SPb 16%”.

On November 2, members of the Public Monitoring Commission visited Filinkov and learned that he had not been given medication in the pre-trial detention center. In addition, the accused was not returned his own medications, which were confiscated upon admission to the detention center. Medicines purchased by Filinkov’s friends were also not accepted in the pre-trial detention center.

Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Boris Vishnevsky handed over a letter to the pre-trial detention center demanding that Filinkov be provided with the necessary medications; the letter was accepted by the assistant chief on duty Oleg Ivanov.

Previously, Filinkov was escorted to St. Petersburg. PMC member Ekaterina Kosarevskaya said that he fell ill at each stage, not having time to recover from the previous one.

“And in Yaroslavl, before the last move, Victor lost the ability to move, he doesn’t understand what it could be, and this had never happened before (the inmates called a doctor, then they took Victor to the medical unit. There they revived him with ammonia, injected him with something unknown and left him until stage),” wrote Kosarevskaya.

Viktor Filinkov, Yulia Boyarshinov, Igor Shishkin were taken from pre-trial detention centers in the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg at the end of July to carry out investigative actions in Penza, where the accused ended up only at the end of August.

• According to investigators, “Network” is a terrorist organization, which allegedly has cells in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza and Belarus. In total, 11 anarchists and anti-fascists from St. Petersburg and Penza are involved in the case. The investigation believes that community members were preparing terrorist attacks in Russia in order to raise an armed rebellion.
• The defendants in the Network case talked about psychological pressure, electric shock torture and weapons that FSB officers planted on them. Some of them refused to confess and said that they gave them under torture.
• Anti-fascist Viktor Filinkov was arrested in January. He admitted guilt, but later stated that he did it under torture. Members of the Public Monitoring Commission of St. Petersburg recorded numerous traces of burns from a stun gun on the anti-fascist’s body. Victor said that one of the FSB officers who tortured him threatened that if he refused to confess, the anti-fascist would go to another region “in a car with specialists.”
