"The crew of the fighter reported to identify the American radio exploration aircraft and accompanied it, avoiding violations of the border of the airspace of the Russian Federation in compliance with all the necessary security measures," the military department added.

After the US aircraft reconnaissance plane changed the flight course to remove the borders of the airspace of the Russian Federation, the Russian Su-27 fighter returned to the base airfield.

Meanwhile, the American side considered the maneuvers of the fighter risky.
