On November 7, journalists from 35 countries will meet in the St. Petersburg Hermitage on the "Dialogue of Cultures"

The XIII International Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" this year will be devoted to digital formats in intercultural communication. 400 young journalists from 35 countries will arrive at the International Media Forum “Dialogue of Cultures” to exchange experience and implement joint projects. Among them are representatives of such publications as “TV3” (Spain), “Die Presse” (Austria), “RTV” (Slovenia), “TV2” (Hungary), as well as journalists from Hungary, Germany, Turkey, Netherlands, Argentines, Bulgaria, India, Ireland, Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan.

Norwegian photographer Kirre Lien will present heroes from Norway, Russia, the USA, Lebanon and Denmark in his photo project “Internet Wills”. - Andrew McConnell from Ireland will put the “Return” photo series about the descendants of the nomadic tribes who continue to live next to the Baikonur cosmodrome. Roger Anisa’s photo project “A wardrobe filled with dreams” will tell about the Egyptians living in a society where a woman, going out into the street, feels oppressed. In their cabinets, things are hidden that they will never wear again, so as not to catch the condemning views of passers -by on themselves and not to listen to moralizing from the family and friends.

The "wall of memes" will be represented - a canvas of 5 meters long with the information farms of the last decade. The “Dialogue of Cultures” website will appear the films “Food in the Movement” (about Italian expanses around the world that act as conductors of Italian cuisine), “Red Stars lost in the fog” (about the Soviet books on which children in India grew), “While we are moving to the east” (about a girl from Paris to St. Petersburg on a skateboard and meets in the skateboard and meets in the skateboard The ways with the youth of Eastern Europe) and others.

The forum program is designed for representatives of not only traditional media, but also new media, as well as independent journalists, photographers, directors, bloggers who are versed in the trends of multimedia content.

- Thanks to digital technologies, the new generation of journalists works on top of the borders. We consider it important to continue the intercultural dialogue using the projects that our participants represent, ”said the chairman of the organizing committee Ashot Dzhazoyan.

The forum is organized by the Media Congress "The Commonwealth of Journalists" together with the State Hermitage with the support of the Fund of Presidential Grants, the Union of Journalists of Russia, the Government of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg State University and the European Federation of Journalists.
