An employee of the government apparatus was fired for leaking internal interdepartmental official correspondence to the press, an informed source told Interfax and TASS .

According to the news agency’s interlocutor, “the unscrupulous official was identified as a result of an internal audit after the publication of internal government correspondence in one of the central newspapers.” The materials collected during the inspection were “transferred to law enforcement agencies for further procedural assessment and decision on whether to initiate a criminal case.”

The source did not disclose the woman’s name or details of the publication.

The agency's interlocutor considered it necessary to note that layoffs of this kind already occurred last year, and “control over the flow of documents between departments and within the government apparatus will continue to be strengthened.”
