Alleged leaders of Hizb ut-Tahrir cells were detained in Tatarstan

In the Aznakaevsky and Bugulma districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the alleged leaders of the cells of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization were detained. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the regional department of the FSB.

The press service of the FSB claims that the detainees allegedly carried out anti-constitutional activities in Russia. During the search, they seized documents, electronic media, “propaganda materials” containing the instructions of the emissaries and reports on the work done.”

The FSB does not specify how many people were detained, but they were all arrested. It is also not known under which article criminal cases were initiated.
