
In Irkutsk, the Investigative Committee resumed an investigation into a criminal case against three police officers who are accused of torture by the current of a mother of many children. This was reported by the Public Verdict Foundation.
In April, investigators closed the case of the torture of Marina Ruzaeva, a year and a half after the start of the investigation. In September, the court refused to consider the complaint of law enforcement agencies to the victim of inaction.
A resident of the city of Usol-Sibirskoye in the Irkutsk region Marina Ruzaeva has been trying to hold the police who tortured her in the site for more than 2 years. According to the victim, she was beaten for five and a half hours at the Usolsky police department with the use of an electric shocker, forcing to confess to the murder of a neighbor.
The human rights activists of Irkutsk managed to get a criminal case against Major Denis Samoilov and the operational employees of Alexander Korbut and Stanislav Golchenko, but it did not go to court.
