Trump fired US Attorney General Jeff Sessions

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has resigned at the request of President Donald Trump.

Hours before the announcement, Trump declined to say in a press conference whether he intended to fire Jeff Sessions.

• Trump repeatedly criticized Jeff Sessions for his decision to withdraw from the "Russian investigation" (Seshens was on the Trump campaign team, met with the Russian ambassador and did not mention this under oath). Trump said in a recent interview that he "doesn't have an attorney general."
