After his arrival in the republic, large-scale checks of the “state of legality” took place . From January to March, high-ranking officials were arrested, including Mayor of Makhachkala Musa Musaev, deputy head of the republican customs Araz Galimov, and head of the Derbent district Magomed Dzhelilov.
