In Monaco, several more officials were charged in the “Rybolovlev case”

In Monaco, several current and former officials were charged in the case of the former owner of Uralkali, Dmitry Rybolovlev, reports Interfax , citing the Monaco-Matin newspaper .

In particular, charges were brought against the former government adviser on internal affairs, Paul Masserone, the head of the Monaco police department, Christophe Ager, and his deputy Patrick Fusari. The former head of Monaco's public security department, Regis Asso, is also mentioned among those involved in the case.

All of them were accused of trading in influence, passive corruption and violating the secrecy of the investigation. There are nine defendants in total, including the billionaire.

The day before, charges were brought against Rybolovlev himself, the wife and son of the former Minister of Justice of Monaco Philippe Narmino, Christina and Antoine Narmino, as well as the billionaire’s lawyer Tatiana Bersheda. The billionaire and Bersheda were released under judicial control.

As the press wrote, Rybolovlev is suspected of using his connections to influence the investigation into his claim against the art dealer Yves Bouvier, from whom he bought the paintings. The billionaire accused Bouvier of unreasonably inflating prices.
