"New Gazeta" found Prigozhin in the video negotiations of Shoigu with the Libyan Marshal

Businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin participated in the meeting of the Minister of Defense of Russia Sergey Shoigu with the Libyan Marshal Chalifa Haftar, writes New Gazeta with reference to the video meeting on the official YouTube channel of the Libyan army.

The newspaper believes that one of the participants in the negotiations is outwardly similar to Prigozhin.

The meeting took place on November 7th. The department reported that Shoigu discussed the situation in Libya with the Libyan Marshal, the fight against terrorism and the topic of security in the Middle East and North Africa.

After the publication of Novaya Gazeta, TASS, citing a military-diplomatic source, said that Prigozhin at this meeting “organized an official dinner”, and also “took part in the discussion of the cultural program of the visit of the Libyan delegation”.

In October, New Gazeta wrote that the Russian authorities are actively supporting Haftar, who repeatedly met with Shoigu. In the same month, RBC reported with reference to sources that Russia transferred its military to Libya.
