According to the newspaper, his subordinate Pavel Klenyshev was detained along with Kozin; his position was not specified. Both became suspects under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale).
The Investigative Committee, without disclosing their names, said that the detainees received part of a bribe in the amount of 2 million rubles from the businessman. For 4 million rubles, the police promised not to prosecute him under articles of theft (Article 158 of the Criminal Code) and fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code).
The local publication Orelgrad, citing sources, reports that the day before, security forces detained the head of the department for economic security and anti-corruption (UEBiPK) in the Zheleznodorozhny district.
According to the publication, the detainee was supposed to hand over the bribe to Kozin, who is now under recognizance not to leave. The head of the department was placed in a temporary detention center (IVS). The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told publications that they had begun an investigation.
