In Moscow, a court sentenced those accused of stealing a sound chamber for cosmonaut training.

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow sentenced two people accused of stealing a soundproof camera from the restoration center of the Museum of Cosmonautics in Strogino to two years and four months in a maximum security colony, the reports from the courtroom. Moscow agency

According to the case file on the court’s website, Radmir Kalimullin and Vladimir Anikin were found guilty under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code (grand theft). The accused admitted guilt. The case was considered in a special manner - without questioning witnesses or examining evidence.

The investigation and the court established that the defendants used a crane to load the exhibit onto a truck and take it away from the parking lot. They sold the stolen isolation chamber for scrap metal. There the exhibit was partially disposed of. The press service of the museum said that the stolen exhibit was in one of the restoration workshops at the enterprise in Strogino.

The pressure chamber is a sealed chamber with soundproof walls, which was intended to prepare astronauts for changes in pressure.
