Wholesale and retail trade with a share of 33% has become the leader among the sectors of the economy that form the demand for shadow financial services. The construction sector took second place - it accounts for 30%. In third place is the service sector - 21%. Production generates 9% of the demand for shadow financial services, and logistics 6%.
Such data for the first half of 2018 was published by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation .
The Central Bank refers to shadow financial services "operations aimed ultimately at cashing out funds or withdrawing them abroad on fictitious grounds in order to evade taxes, legalize criminal proceeds and for corruption purposes," RBC explained in the press service of the regulator .
