The Kalininsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Ivan Barbakov 300,000 rubles for commenting on a video in which the priest performs Murka, as well as for pictures posted on his VKontakte page. This is reported by the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg.
The court found Barakov guilty of inciting hatred towards Jews and Christians (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code). The reason was Barakov’s comment on the video “The priest with inspiration performs a hit from the criminal repertoire (pop sings Murka)” on Vkontakte, as well as two images published by him on the social network. One picture depicts Jesus Christ and a “humanoid image”, the second shows photographs of nine people with signatures in which the expert saw a humiliation of dignity on a national basis. The defendant pleaded guilty.
