The city court of St. Petersburg canceled a fine of 20 thousand rubles to the federal coordinator of the movement "Spring" Bogdan Litvin because of the organization of the action "He is not our king." This was reported to OVD-Info in the press service of the movement.
The judge decided to return the activist's case to the Oktyabrsky District Court, where the decision of the first instance was made. The City Court considered the appeal of Lytvyn's defense, which filed motions to call witnesses, to call a prosecutor, and also to demand documents from the Dzerzhinsky District Court. Despite the fact that the court rejected all three petitions, the case was returned for a new trial.
On August 2, the Oktyabrsky District Court found Bogdan Lytvyn guilty under part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by the organizer of the procedure for holding the event) because of the repost of videos with calls to come to the rally on May 5. In the City Court, Lytvyn noted that the records that he published did not contain calls to come to the action, as well as information about the place and time of its holding.
The defense also noted in its complaint that Lytvyn had previously been brought under administrative charges twice for the same action on May 5. So, in addition to a fine of ten thousand rubles, the activist was arrested for eight days.
