
The Russians Alexander Stepanov and Ivan Bukin won gold in the competitions of dance duets at the Grand Prix stage on figure skating on Moscow ice. Stepanov and Bukin scored 124.94 points for the rental of arbitrary dance, setting a new world record.
"The first assessment was from our coaches who thanked us today. In ice dancing, every detail is always important, so we need to work on all elements," Stepanova told reporters.
The previous achievement belonged to American athletes Madison Hubbel and Zakhari Donhee (122,39). By the sum of two programs, the Russians scored 199.43 points.
Stepanova and Bukin were selected to the final of the Grand Prix, which will be held from December 5 to 8 in Vancouver.
The Spaniards Sarah Urtado and Kirill Halyavin (174.42) took the second place in the competitions in Moscow, the third - the Americans Kristina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko (174.21).
The Russians Sofya Evdokimova and Yegor Bazin became fourth (164.66), Annabel Morozov and Andrei Bagin - the ninth (133.58).
