The penguins found themselves at the bottom of a ravine, from which they could not get out. They were saved by documentarians filming the film.

After a severe storm in Antarctica, a group of emperor penguins, which were observed by documentaries from BBC Earth, found themselves at the bottom of a ravine. For several days the birds could not get out of the trap - the walls were too steep and slippery.

After that, some females still managed to climb the slope. They had to abandon their cubs - and they began to die of hunger. Members of the BBC Earth team decided to intervene - they took shovels and dug small steps in the ravine. The film crew hoped that with their help the penguins would overcome the steep slope. Fortunately, the penguins did not disappoint - after a while they got out of the ravine on their own.
