The PIK group of companies suspended the construction of a residential complex, which caused protests from residents of the Moscow district of Kuntsevo. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the head of the urban planning documentation department of the PIK group of companies, Nikita Andrianov.

According to him, work has been suspended, presumably until November 22. On this day, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation will hold a hearing on the suit of the residents of Kuntsevo, who oppose the demolition of their houses and the construction of a new residential complex in their place.

Earlier, Denis Shenderovich, a municipal deputy of the Kuntsevsky District , told Kommersant that the PIK group of companies had promised to suspend construction work for ten days.

• The PIK group of companies received permission for the reconstruction of two quarters in Kuntsevo. The project involves the demolition of 37 five-story buildings of the 1960s and the construction of a large residential complex in their place.
• Residents of Kuntsevo opposed the demolition of their homes. They set up a tent city in one of the courtyards and on November 19 tried to prevent the arrival of construction equipment. They were dispersed by employees of a private security company and the police.
