A civil activist in the Moscow region reported that her car was set on fire

Civil activist Olga Chebotareva, who lives in the village of Novodrogzhino in the Leninsky district of the Moscow region, said that her car was set on fire by two unknown persons. The video, which shows how the car is on fire, was published by Chebotaerva on her page on VKontakte.

The incident took place early in the morning on November 19. In one of the subsequent posts, Chebotareva reported that “it was officially established that two people threw a bag with a combustible mixture on the hood, then set fire to it with a match and ran away.” According to her, the actions of unknown persons were recorded by video cameras.

Later, Chebotareva wrote on her page that she was threatened with setting fire to her apartment. In addition, the activist said that a month ago, employees of the management company of the house where she lives tore out the wires from her electric meter so that she “apparently did not write anywhere and did not engage in social activities.”

The civil activist also recalled that in early November, the cars of the deputy of the Leninsky district, Mikhail Seryapov, and the mother of a local activist, Yevgenia Egorova, were set on fire. Chebotareva believes that the arson was due to their active stance against the closure of the school in Leninskiye Gorki.

• Olga Chebotareva, along with other Leninsky activists, participates in civil forums on housing and communal services, and also organizes rallies on various topics. In February, Chebotareva was attacked during a meeting of the owners of an apartment building about changing the management company.
