South Korean representative elected new Interpol president

Kim Jong Yang from South Korea has been selected as the head of Interpol, according to the organization's Twitter.

Previously, the representative of Russia, Major General Alexander Prokopchuk, was called the main contender for the presidency of the organization, but he was opposed in the United States, Ukraine and Lithuania. The latter two countries have threatened to leave Interpol if Prokopchuk takes over.
