The Russian National Guard will use laser emitters to disperse rallies

Until the end of November, the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops will receive two cars to disperse rallies, equipped with laser emitters that stun and blind violators.

This was found out by Open Media from public procurement documents. The cost of cars is 65.2 million rubles. The emitters are installed on the Gazelle, painted in mouse-gray. The laser emitter of the installation exerts an "acoustic pressure" at a distance of 10 meters of 135 dB. Open Media notes that 135-145 dB is noise comparable to what occurs when a jet plane and a rocket take off. The publication also writes that, apparently, the Russian Guard will become one of the first law enforcement agencies in the world to receive laser weapons.

The Russian Guard concluded a contract for the supply of equipment with ASB Plus LLC. This company, according to the database "Contour. Focus”, belongs to the doctor of technical sciences and the author of the monograph “Methods and means of protecting important state facilities from terrorism” Mikhail Antselevich.

From 2016 to 2018, the Russian Guard purchased 128 sets of shields of the Shepot system for 220.4 million rubles. This is a system of non-lethal acoustic impact on biological objects.
