She could not be confused with anyone. She just wasn't like anyone else. Zoya Eroshok or, as it is now customary, because we say goodbye, Zoya Valentinovna Eroshok - I can’t even imagine addressing her like that. Journalist for Novaya Gazeta from the day it was founded, who left Komsomolskaya Pravda together with Muratov, a brilliant essayist and interviewer — Novaya Gazeta posted a small fraction of what she wrote, laureate of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation Prize "Golden Pen of Russia" (1997) and twice laureate Artem Borovik Prize "Honour. Courage. Mastery" (2001 and 2008). And also - cheerful, in my memory there is no Zoya without a smile - she laughed out loud, showing the world two rows of strong healthy teeth, well knocked down - from a Cossack family (she was born in 1953 in Temryuk, Krasnodar Territory), she did not just stand firmly herself on her feet, but it seemed that one could hide behind it, if necessary, if one’s hand spread it, it wouldn’t let go. Recently, she disappeared, colleagues said - she teaches at the International University and at the Institute of Journalism and Literary Excellence in Moscow. Then, like a butt - a diagnosis-sentence. The fact that Zoya lived in recent months is thanks not only to her roots, and not even to doctors - Dmitry Muratov, the publisher and parent of Novaya Gazeta, who literally did not let her die. Muratov somehow knows how. But everything has its limits. Today, November 21, 2018, Zoya Eroshok left.
According to Novaya Gazeta, farewell to Zoya Eroshok will take place on November 23, 2018 at the Troekurovsky cemetery in the Great Hall of Farewell at 10:40.
