The head of the administration of the Leninsky district of Perm, Alexander Kozenkov, strongly recommended that the organizers of the IC3PEAK concert not hold the event due to the “suicidal nature” of the group’s lyrics. concert bar, told Mediazone about this David Shelter, art director of the Cape Town .

According to Shelter, Kozenkov personally came to the bar, but did not find any of the organizers there. Employees of neighboring establishments told the owners about the official’s visit, after which the organizers contacted him.

“We were contacted, he explained that he was expecting us within an hour, and the general director arrived. They discussed that the lyrics of the group IC3PEAK were suicidal <...> The conversation was unpleasant, that we had almost created a brothel in our establishment and were breaking the law as much as we could,” said the art director.

Shelter said that the organizers do not intend to cancel the concert, since they were not provided with any documents or examinations indicating the illegality of the event.

“We are not canceling (the concert - MZ), because this is a very strange situation, I would like to see some documents confirming the reason for the cancellation, because people worked and invested resources in advertising. There are a lot of people involved, and to just cancel it because someone doesn’t like it is a very strange story,” Shelter said.

The concert is scheduled to take place on November 27 at another venue of the organizers (in order to reduce the likelihood of the concert being disrupted, its name is not disclosed), where the event was moved due to the fact that the tickets were completely sold out.

Earlier, on November 23, it became known that IC3PEAK in Kazan changed three concert venues in a day due to pressure from security forces. 40 minutes after the start of the concert on the third stage, the police came to the club, after which the group finished the performance. A similar situation occurred with IC3PEAK in Nizhny Novgorod; the group also had to change three venues.
