The Insight spacecraft landed on Mars

NASA's Insight robotic interplanetary probe has successfully landed on the surface of Mars. The signal about this was received at 14:54 US East Coast time (22:54 Moscow time).

The device descended to the surface at a speed of about 8 kilometers per hour. Its deceleration from a speed of about 20 thousand kilometers per hour began at a distance of about 125 kilometers from the surface.

• Insight became the fourth module successfully landed by NASA on Mars in the last 20 years.
