For more than four years in Eastern Europe, in that part where they speak mainly in Russian, the fronts, the layering lines and unrecognized states are gaping. In the first years, the phrase “War with Ukraine” sounded like a quote from bad fiction about “alternative history”, and then became commonplace.
Alternative pacifists from among the participants in the current show of Vladimir Solovyov have repeated the “argument” for years: there is no war, because if it were, then “ours” would have long been near Kiev. And the territories of the neighboring state are torn off. Self -proclaimed armies, armed with humanitarian aid, march in parades. The smugglers sell cigarettes and weapons on both sides of the border. Television heads aloud dream of nuclear strikes. But there is no war in a paradoxical way-well, perhaps some kind of incomprehensible, hybrid. People get used to everything, and the latest Russian “situation” was no exception. It seemed to many that a completely normal life continues, no matter what.
The world suspended in advance is not difficult to push into the abyss later. In the Sea of Azov, blocked by the Crimean bridge, there is an incident that, from the point of view of international law, can be considered as Casus Belli.

It begins to seem to someone that this is an excellent solution to all current tasks. Russian experts are fleeing in television studio to inform the citizens about the "act of marine aggression." In normalization after hybrid years, few are already interested. At least from those for whom the war is a profit, a political rating, or at least cheap cigarettes.

For four and a half years, the authorities (first of all, of course, our Russian) adapted to a new situation, felt like masters of strategic military games. The naval conflict with a neighboring power in a normal situation would cause a scandal and a government crisis, consultations of the worlds would begin, an apology would be apologized. This is how responsible politicians do this who value the lives of citizens and understand that the war will not become a way to solve problems for anyone. Our strategists believe that an armed clash is just an occasion for a new propaganda special operation. So there are “new political values”, within which the final goal, that is, the preservation of their own power, justifies everything. Standard diplomatic procedures are recognized as “untimely”.
